Icons used for Links, etc.
Some links display an icon next to the link text. This icon indicates the type of link, as shown below:
Data - link goes to a data source.
External - link goes to an external website.
Locked - item is locked.
New - indicates item is a recent addition.
Popup - link opens a popup window.
Groups Directory List
To view the list of Groups and Organisations, click on the top menu button “Group Directory”. This will take you to the Group Directory main menu where you can choose what state/territory you wish to view. Click on the state/territory on the map of Australia or, if you want to know if there are any Groups listed in a given state, scroll down below the map where you will find a table showing the total number of Groups for each state and territory, including National based groups. You can click on the name of the state/territory/listing you wish to view.
Once you are in the Group Directory state/territory listing you can choose to sort the display order by suburb name, postcode or Group name. Groups are displayed in alphabetical order by suburb name as default.
To view a different state/territory click on your choice at the top or bottom of the listings.
To view the complete details of any Group click on the Group Name from the listing. This will take you to the detailed view for that Group. If you wish to send an email to the Group click on the “Send Message” link in the listing view, or the “Send an Email to this Group” link in the detailed view. This will take you to an online form that will send a message to that Group. This form is used to help reduce the chances of spam bots harvesting the Group’s email address.
Service Key Abbreviations
The Group Directory uses key abbreviations to indicate what services a group offers the community. The keys used are:

Celebrant Directory List
This Directory lists registered Civil Celebrants, Religious Celebrants, and Celebrants registered as both Civil and Religious.
To view the list of Pagan friendly Marriage Celebrants, click on the top menu button “Celebrant Directory”. This will take you to the Celebrant Directory main menu where you can choose what state/territory you wish to view. Click on the state/territory on the map of Australia or, if you want to know if there are any Celebrants listed in a given state, scroll down below the map where you will find a table showing the total number of Celebrants for each state and territory. You can click on the name of the state/territory/listing you wish to view.

This form is used to help reduce the chances of spam bots harvesting the Celebrant’s email address.
Site Search
You can use the Site Search to search for particular information such as Group name, Celebrant name, etc. Site Search boxes are shown on the Group and Celebrant Directory pages. Site Search is provided by FreeFind and not UPCoA. Although the results screen looks similar to the AusPagan Directory pages, it is supplied by an external provider on a different server.
Add a Group
To add a Group to our Directory click on the “ADD/EDIT MY ENTRY” menu option on the top menu bar. This will take you to a second menu where you can select “Add my Group or Organisation to the Group Directory”. Clicking on this link will open the Add a Group screen. The entries on this screen are:
- Terms & Conditions: (mandatory) You must check this box to indicate that you accept the Terms and Conditions. These are show at the bottom of the page.
- Group Name: (mandatory) Enter the name that the Group is to be known as. If there is a Trading Name and different Legal Name enter the Trading Name in this field.
- Full Name: (optional) If the above Group Name was the Trading Name, then enter the Legal Name in this field. If the Legal Name and Trading Name are the same, leave this field blank.
- City/town: (mandatory)Enter the city/town/suburb name that the Group is based in.
- State: (mandatory) Choose the state/territory that the Group is based in.
- Postcode: (mandatory) Enter the Postcode where the Group is based. IF NATIONAL enter “0000” as the postcode.
- Postal Address: (optional) Enter a postal address for contact with the Group.
- Telephone No.: (optional) Enter a contact telephone number for the Group.
- Contact Name: (optional) Enter the name of the person contacted via the above telephone number.
- Email: (mandatory) Enter an email address for the Group. This will NOT be displayed in the Directory. Instead an email form will be used to allow viewers to send messages to the Group without risking email address harvesting by spam-robots.
- Website: (optional) Enter a website for the Group (do NOT enter http://).
- Meetings, and other information about the group: (mandatory) Enter information about Group meetings or activities, or other information about the Group that will help viewers understand what you do. Maximum 500 characters, no HTML code.
- Services Offered: (mandatory) Check all boxes next to the services that the Group offers.
- Admin Name: (mandatory) Enter the name (first name is OK) of the person that will maintain the Group entry.
- Admin Email: (mandatory) Enter the email address of the person that will maintain the Group entry. This can be different from the Group email, or the same.
- Security CAPTCHA: (mandatory) This feature prevents automated spam-bots from submitting the form and adding spam information. Enter the characters shown in the image. If you can not see the characters properly click “Refresh Image” to load a new CAPTCHA image. CAPTCHA stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart”.
- Send UPCoA Info: (optional) IF you would like us to send you information about the United Pagan Church of Australia check this box. If this box is left unchecked we will NOT send you any promotional information.
Add a Celebrant
Registered Marriage Celebrants that are willing to perform Pagan ceremonies OR are willing to work with Pagan leaders to provide Pagan orientated ceremonies, may be listed on our Celebrant Directory. Celebrants submit their details which are then checked and confirmed by UPCoA volunteers using the official Attorney-General’s list of registered Celebrants. Once a Celebrant has been confirmed as being registered their entry will be authorised and will become visible to the public.
To add a Celebrant to our Directory click on the “ADD/EDIT MY ENTRY” menu option on the top menu bar. This will take you to a second menu where you can select “Add my details to the Celebrant Directory”. Clicking on this link will open the Add a Celebrant screen. The entries on this screen are:
- Surname: (mandatory) Enter the Celebrants Surname.
- First Name(s): (mandatory) Enter the Celebrants First Name/Names.
- Alternate Name: (optional) If the Celebrant is registerd under a different name, enter that name here. This name will NOT be shown on the Directory, it is used only in confirming the Celebrant is registered.
- Alias: (optional) If the Celebrant uses an Alias (e.g. Craft Name, etc), enter that name here. This will be displayed in the Directory.
- Celebrant Type: (mandatory) Choose the type of Celebrant. This is based on the official registration with the Attorney General and not what the Celebrant is willing to perform. If in doubt consult the Attorney General’s official listings.
- Path(s) served: (optional) Enter what Pagan paths you are willing to serve (if applicable).
- City: (mandatory) Enter the city/town/suburb that the Celebrant is based in.
- State: (mandatory) Enter the state/territory tha the Celebrant in based in.
- Postcode: (mandatory) Enter the postcode for the city/town/suburb that the Celebrant is based in.
- Your Phone: (mandatory) Enter a telephone number for contact with the Celebrant.
- Your Email: (mandatory) Enter an email address for contact with the Celebrant. This will NOT be displayed in the Directory. Instead an email form will be used to allow viewers to send messages to the Celebrant without risking email address harvesting by spam-robots.
- Biography: (optional) Enter any biography or information that allows the viewer to understand the services offered. Maximum 500 characters. No HTML code.
- Photograph: (optional) If you would like to upload a small photo for display with your details, check the box marked “Yes, I will upload a photo” and then click Browse to locate the file on your computer. Photographs must be .gif, .jpg or .png format and a maximum of 600k in size.
- Security CAPTCHA: (mandatory) This feature prevents automated spam-bots from submitting the form and adding spam information. Enter the characters shown in the image. If you can not see the characters properly click “Refresh Image” to load a new CAPTCHA image. CAPTCHA stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart”.
